    Now why in the world would they take photos of the cast in front of a green screen and then composite them like that?

    They are beautiful shots and there was no need to do that.

    Oh my.

    I normally try to cut the "professional" photos some slack...
    but you can really tell this time that they weren't taken in front of the Atlantis gate. No shadows.

    Oh well...

    It just dawned on me that the backgrounds are CGI, not composites. I didn't look at them very closely at first but once you do, it's kind of obvious.

    What an odd thing to do with publicity shots though when you've got standing sets available.
