Stargate Atlantis - Three (3!) NEW Video Clips - Trio

From Joseph Mallozzi's blog update for February 17, 2008:

(Please follow the link for the complete blog update. No photos tonight, however we do have THREE video clips from behind-the-scenes of Trio! Woo-hoo! Thank you, Joe!)

February 17, 2008: I stayed up for THIS?!

Production on season 5 begins tomorrow. Already! It feels like only three months ago we were sitting around, waiting to find out whether we'd been picked up for another season. No. Wait.

Pleased to hear most of you enjoyed Midway. It kicks off a quartet of heavy hitters that close out our fourth season. What happened to the Athosians? Can Todd the wraith be trusted? What does the future hold for our heroes? The answers may surprise you (and no, I won't be giving it all away in a promo).

Anyway, with shooting underway this week, I'll see what I can do about snapping some non-spoilerific pics for anyone interested. Anyone? Anyone at all?

Well, since you're here, why not enjoy a clip of our stunts department perfecting some of the stunt sequences from Trio.¤t=collapse.flv

Stargate Atlantis - GateWorld: NEW Audio Interview with Amanda Tapping

From GateWorld:

Journey of a Lifetime

GateWorld talks with Amanda Tapping

Of the more than 50 Stargate personnel he has wrangled to interview, GateWorld co-editor David Read stands firmly beside Amanda Tapping as his favorite. Tapping, who as played Samantha Carter for well over a decade, has been one of the most prominent supporters of the Web site since first hearing its name.

In our fifth interview with the actress, Amanda gets more personal than ever, discussing past struggles of separating work from home (her daughter Olivia being the great equalizer), and the parallels that she has drawn between herself and her alter ego through the years. We explore the fondest memories from Turleen and Minnie to Cassandra, and the challenges that Tapping has forced herself to face.

Special thanks to the many GateWorld Forum members who contributed their questions to this interview!

GateWorld's interview with Amanda is available in MP3 audio format for easy listening, and is over 28 minutes long. It is also transcribed [at the link above]. You can even download the interview to your MP3 player and take GateWorld with you!

Happy Spring

I thought I'd better write again before things got a little hectic, which, judging by the first few scripts I've read of Atlantis: season 5, is pretty darn imminent. I guess the cat's been let out of the bag, so yes, I can confirm that I've signed on to the show as a regular cast member, meaning majority of episodes, meaning almost
twice as many breakfast sandwiches (!!). I'm thrilled, of course, for other reasons as well; it's a wonderful group to be around, even if they're teasing you incessantly for being the "newbie"…but now that we have, er, new newbies, maybe the teasing will relent? Or at least move to a different outlet? Anyway, so far so good on the character-building front, even if prosthetics are included far too soon for my taste. Can't say much more than that on the subject, as well as others (I am also kept in the dark on whether it'll be Ronan or McKay fathering Jen's babies, so there's really no point in asking me these things) but stay tuned for more hints and surprises to come in the conclusion of season 4. That's it. That's all you get. I'm still new enough to get in trouble for spilling too many beans, so don't entice me. You know how I am with keeping secrets!

On to some questions I can answer:

Has anyone mentioned to Joe Flanigan that he has a striking resemblance to Disney's Aladdin? No, but thanks for the ammo.

My favorite New Kid? Joe, of course. What a question.

Enjoy the sunshine!

Stargate Atlantis - MGM Stargate - Trailer for "The Kindred, Part 1"

Hmmm...for some reason, the MGM Stargate site doesn't have a downloadable trailer for this episode.

They have a version that you can watch at the site, but the brightness control is way off -- it's really dark.

At the main page:

Click on "The Kindred, Part 1" watch preview on the left hand side of the page (at the top).

Or the MGM Stargate Atlantis section:

Todd (Christopher Heyerdahl) and Caldwell (Mitch Pileggi) are also in this episode.

(Some screenprints from the trailer, that I've tried to brighten.)
