Stargate Atlantis - GateWorld: Rachel Luttrell Audio Interview
From GateWorld:

(Please follow the link to download the audio and/or read the transcript of GateWorld's interview.)
MOTHER OF DESTINY
GateWorld Talks with Rachel Luttrell
It has been too long since our last interview with Rachel Luttrell, who has been keeping busy both on and off the sound stages of Stargate Atlantis in recent months!
Rachel gave birth to a baby boy, Caden Dar, in October of 2007. Partially due to the pregnancy, an intricate arc was threaded through Season Four involving Teyla. In our latest interview with the actress, Luttrell talks about having a meaty multi-episode story to sink her teeth into, in addition to the life-changing whirlwind that is being a parent.
GateWorld's interview with Rachel is available in MP3 audio format for easy listening, and is 12 and a half minutes long. It is also transcribed [at the link above]. You can also download the interview to your MP3 player and take GateWorld with you!

SG1 – Gift from the Gods reviewed by Alasdair Stuart
Big Finish, £9.99 – http://www.bigfinish.com
Launching Big Finish's range of Stargate SG1 and Stargate Atlantis audios, this slots neatly into established continuity and still manages to tell a story in its own right. It also manages to sidestep both Big Finish's traditional full cast audio dramas and also the slightly dry readings that a solo performance can normally be.
Instead, this is a story recounted in flashback by Daniel, a means of him coping with the events he's lived through and as a result, what we hear seems far more immediate, far tighter focussed than normal.
Opening with Daniel waking up in his lab with no memory of what happened, it soon becomes clear that something has gone very badly wrong. Everyone in the SGC blacked out at the same time, no one knows why and to make matters worse, the Gate is jammed open and on the other side of it is...the SGC. As Daniel and his team mates watch the other SGC come under sustained attack from the Goa'uld, they must try and figure out what's real, what's constructed and what role an object SG1 returned from their last mission with plays in events. But not everyone will make it out of this puzzle alive...
**snippage**
That being said, this is still a consistently impressive and coherent piece of storytelling with some moments of real emotional impact. Consistent with the original series, frequently funny and with enough big ideas to keep even the jaded listener interested, Big Finish couldn't have hoped for a better opening to their series.

The TV Addict Previews BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Prequel CAPRICA
April 23rd, 2008
The TV Addict has a secret.
No contrary to popular belief, I’m not the final Cylon! Rather, I’ve been keeping quiet that for the past two weeks I’ve had in my possession the prequel script to CAPRICA, the highly anticipated spin-off of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA.
Yet, rather than risk the wrath of the Gods — and by ‘Gods’ I’m naturally referring to CAPRICA show-runners Remi Aubuchon and Ronald D. Moore — this TV thought he’d take a different approach. Because as much fun as it might be to play Michael Ausiello [ie. Spoiler King] for a day, I truly believe that television is far more entertaining when you don’t know what happens next.
But first things first, if you thought BATTLESTAR GALACTICA was a far cry from your father’s science fiction [ie. STAR TREK], you ain’t seen nothing yet. CAPRICA, set a mere fifty-one years prior to the planet’s destruction portrays a far seedier version of modern day earth, essentially reading like an episode of HBO’s THE WIRE. Like all Ronald D. Moore projects, the pilot is riddled with political intrigue, racial prejudice, religious zealots and a seriously cool take on Second Life courtesy of Graystone Industries million dollar idea, the Holodeck HoloBand.

Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 2
Book review
Written by Nicholas Knight
Titan Books paperback
Release date 25 April 2008
Episode guides and behind-the-scenes revelations from the second season of demon hunting…
It was in its second series that Supernatural went from fun but disposable monster-of-the-week runaround to genuinely unmissable television, and this companion acts as a comprehensive guide to the thought processes at work during the season.
**snippage**
VERDICT: 7/10
An essential tome for dedicated worshippers of the Winchesters.
