From a Syfy Australia tweet:
#SGA and #SG1 stars will appear in #SGU Season 2, says Brad Wright.
On Set of #SGU today. The general gist of Season Two: The Destiny has a destination of literally cosmic importance.
On the set of #SGU tomorrow! If you've a question for cast and crew (including Robert Carlyle) now's your chance! http://bit.ly/c9LT0d
Interesting fact: #SGU door mechanical door 'nobs' can be programmed to move at different speeds. All are practical. All cost $500.

Wednesday - June 23, 2010
by Darren Sumner
Visit the GateWorld Podcast page for more about the show!
The freshman season of Stargate Universe is complete! In this week’s podcast, GateWorld’s Darren and David will look at the first year of SGU as a whole and discuss what we thought worked. How did the second half of the season compare to the first half? Character drama, alien threats, separation from home, communication stones, and more — it’s all on the table as we dissect Season One and decide if it lived up to our own expectations.
But first, we’ll also be talking about the news of writer-producer Robert C. Cooper’s departure from Stargate.
If you are a fan of Doctor Who, stick around after the show for a bonus discussion! Darren has picked three episodes for David to watch, and this week David will give us his newbie take on the show and whether he’s been convinced to keep watching.

Stargate Atlantis' David Hewlett Reminisces About "Grace Under Pressure"

In the fifth season Stargate SG-1 episode 48 Hours, Dr. Rodney McKay is temporarily assigned to Stargate Command to help Major Samantha Carter find a way to rescue Teal'c, who is trapped inside an active Stargate wormhole. The scientist may be an expert when it comes to Stargate technology, but his limited interpersonal skills coupled with his enormous ego results in him getting on everyone's nerves, not the least of which Carter's.
McKay later expresses his sincerest of apologies to the major in Redemption, and the two cross paths yet again in the Stargate Atlantis episode Grace Under Pressure. Luckily for Carter, she is just a figment of the concussed McKay's mind, but her "presence" turns out to be invaluable as he tries to figure out how to escape from a crashed puddle jumper that is sinking further down into the ocean surrounding Atlantis. Despite his character's dangerous predicament, David Hewlett, who plays McKay, has fond memories of this story.

"This episode stands out the most for me for a number of reasons," says Hewlett. "I mean, number one, I got to work once again with Amanda Tapping [Samantha Carter], which was great. Grace Under Pressure was such a unique experience for me in that, while it might not necessarily be my favorite episode to watch, it was my favorite to shoot because it was just so much McKay. It was like a one-man show. Even when they cut back to the Atlantis base, there were people there hoping that my character was OK," chuckles the actor...

Robert Lawrenson from Sanctuary
A brief excerpt:
TLOEG: Would you consider making appearances at conventions?
RL: Yes, in fact myself and several of the regular cast of Sanctuary will be appearing at the first ever Sanctuary convention at the Sheraton Wall Centre in Vancouver Jul 30th – Aug 1st. I am really looking forward to being involved and meeting the fans of the show, who make it all possible. Its being run by GABIT events and is made more special as nobody is taking a fee, and all the proceeds from ticket sales are going directly to “Sanctuary for Kids” the charity set up by Amanda Tapping, Damian Kindler & Jill Bodie, which the show supports throughout the year. It’s being run by GABIT events.

RL: When I first met the producers at audition I was given an outline for Declan which informed my characterisation. Since then I’ve been fortunate enough to be given great freedom from the producers to develop Declan who have supported my character decisions as an actor. Back story really is a group effort, partly expressed by the producers but fleshed out in my own mind to inform my own acting decisions.
