Set to debut this fall, the series stars Robert Carlyle, Justin Louis and Lou Diamond Phillips. In this installment, the previously unknown purpose of the "Ninth Chevron" is revealed, and ends up taking a team to an Ancient ship "Destiny", a ship built millions of years ago by the Ancients, used to seed Distant galaxies with Stargates. This team, led by Dr. David Rush (Carlyle) and Colonel Everet Young (Louis), are trapped on the ship, unable to change its programmed mission, and encounter new races, new technology and new enemies, as the runaway ship takes them to the far ends of the Universe.

Richard Dean Anderson is currently starring as General Jack O'Neil in the Stargate SG1 movie Stargate: Continuum after 10 seasons on the series, Stargate SG1. He is also is probably best known as MacGyver, the clever and inventive nonviolent hero who solved problems in his own unique way for seven successful seasons on ABC. In his roles before and since, this gifted actor has continued to demonstrate his remarkable talent and versatility.

Anderson was presented with an award at the Air Force Association's 57th Annual Air Force Anniversary Dinner in Washington, D.C. on September 14, 2004 because of his role as star and executive producer of Stargate SG-1, a series which has portrayed the Air Force in a positive light since it first premiered.
