Stargate SG-1 - Legends Memorabilia - Amanda Tapping Charity Auction

An AT4 Gabit Events announcement:

With just 200 days left to the start of AT4, we are thrilled to announce a brand new charity auction that has just started over on the Legends Memorabilia site in aid of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

As promised at he end of AT3, Legends are running this auction to complete the funding for the eighth GABIT sponsored Hearing Dog and kick start our fund raising for AT4.

Items will be added over the next several days and the auction will run for about two weeks. There are lots of great items including costumes pieces, photographs from Stargate, Sanctuary and behind the scenes one offs as well as some smaller value items so do pop over and have a look. You don't have to be an AT4 attendee to bid as all items can be shipped from Canada world wide.

We'd all like to say at this 200 days to go point we are very much looking forward to seeing everyone at AT4 and we thank you for your continuing support of us and the charities who benefit so much from your generosity.

Best wishes

GateWorld Podcast: Episode #17

Visit the GateWorld Podcast page for more about the show!

With no new episode of Stargate Atlantis to talk about this week, GateWorld editors Darren and David turn to a special discussion topic: the characters we lost too soon. We'll revisit the history of some beloved characters such as Jonas Quinn, Janet Fraiser, and Elizabeth Weir, and ask that tough question: Were they written out too soon, or was their departure satisfying storytelling?

This week we'll also preview GateWorld's upcoming interview with Paul Brown, the head of Legends Memorabilia -- the Stargate franchise's official seller of props, costumes, scripts, autographs, and more. And we'll update you on Stargate news and GateWorld site features from the past week!

Richard Dean Anderson Web Site Updates July 15 '08

From a Richard Dean Anderson web site e-mail announcement:

Updates at RDAnderson.com:

There has been some recent news from both Gatecon and Legends Memorabilia regarding Gatecon 2008, and I've added that new information to the Gatecon page on the Richard Dean Anderson website. Here you'll find information about how to register for add-ons like the banquet and the locations bus tour during the convention. There is also information
about the pre-signed autographed photo that is included with the VIP tickets, and how to register so that you can have your autograph personalized. There will also be a lottery (coming soon) for 200 spots to purchase an in-person autograph from Richard Dean Anderson during the convention. You'll find all the links on the Gatecon page.

In addition, I've been continuing to expand the Stargate SG-1 Lexicon, and the entries are now complete from A through L.

You'll find the links to the new updates on the main page and on the What's New page.

Thanks for visiting!

Richard Dean Anderson - Vancouver GateCon '08 Update

From Legends Memorabilia:

Hello All,

A quick note to let you know that we have now opened the Gatecon 2008 FAQ section on our website. Click on the Gatecon tab in the left panel of our homepage and you will be taken to the FAQ section.

You will note that it has been divided into various sections:

- Guests
- VIP Photos
- RDA Autograph Sessions
- General Questions.

The link to the VIP Photo Registration Page will become 'live' in the next few days and we shall post an announcement as soon as this is open.

We encourage you to check back from time to time as we may be amending, updating and adding things to the FAQs.

Along with the Gatecon 2008 organizing committee, we at Legends are going to do our best to ensure that you have a thoroughly enjoyable event. I am in contact with Richard Dean Anderson almost daily as we approach the event and I can assure you that he is really looking forward to coming to this show. To illustrate this, let me share with you an excerpt from one of his emails to me last week when we were discussing the event. I have personally been running a bit ragged in trying to get everything in place for him and he senses that I was working my nerves to the bone! This then prompted the following comment:

(Quote) "Stop immediately all this stress stuff........I will do everything I can to make the experience for everybody an absolute pleasure, if not a downright JOY." (End quote)

Very encouraging words for you all and I can add my assurance that he really does intend to give you your money's worth. If there are any stragglers out there who haven't yet purchased tickets, we encourage you to do so soon.

Along with Richard, our guests and our 'surprise' visitors, this will be an event you won't want to miss!

Best to you all....see you next month!

Paul Brown
