Sanctuary - SciFi Pulse: Ryan Robbins Audio Interview Sun Jan 31
At SciFi Pulse:
SFP Radio Features Sanctuary Actor Ryan Robbins
Written by Ian Cullen on January 29, 2010

The Parsec Nominated SciFiPulse Radio continues its ongoing mission to boldly go where no podcast has gone before and for our next show, we bring forth a howlingly fun interview with Ryan Robbins, who among other things is best known for his role of Henry Foss in the hit Syfy Series Sanctuary.
During the course of our 30 minute interview with the actor. He talks about how Henry is vastly different from the darker and more sinister roles that he’s played on other shows, and also shares his thoughts about Sanctuary’s newest character Kate Freelander, and reveals how he sympathizes with Agam Darshi because of the tough job she had coming to the show so late.
The actor also touches on the role that folks will see him play in the new series Caprica, which started its run on Syfy Channel last weekend, although he was only able to reveal so much.
He says that it is a “complex role” that fans will enjoy.
So why not tune on for our regular Sunday show at the usual times of 10pm UK Time, 2pm PST, 4pm CT and 5pm EST [2pm PST] on Sunday 31, January.

SGU Ladies Discuss What It Takes To Be Gate Girls!
Written by Ian Cullen on January 26, 2010
There have been a lot of genre shows that have generated a fair bit of buzz this year, and one such show, which seems to have generated huge amounts of buzz in the fan base is Stargate Universe.
The series, which was born from the same creative minds that brought us Stargate SG1 and SG Atlantis has got people talking because of its darker and grittier story telling, and of course the strong female role models that have come forth.
In issue 32 of the Official Stargate Magazine features interviews with Ming – Na, Elyse Levesque and Alaina Huffman who reveal what it takes to portray a powerful woman in Stargate Universe.
You can read excerpts from all three interviews {at the link above].

“The germ of Stargate Universe began as a movie by Robert Cooper, as do many of our ideas,” Wright told the magazine. “We always come up with a movie, pitch it to MGM, and they say, ‘Terrific, let’s make it a TV show.’ When we were spinning the film idea, we knew deep down that Universe was really a series because it had so much scope...”

So what are some of the best props that Propworx will have in the live auctions? The crack group at Stargate Command (aka the Propworx warehouse) made a list for us of the top 20 items they have stored there.
The props being auctioned include:

Actor Patrick Gilmore (Dale Volker)
Actor Patrick Gilmore (SGU’s Dale Volker) Wants Your Questions!
Guess who was unfortunate enough to saunter by the production offices the other day and ended up getting corralled to do a fan Q&A for this blog. Yes, actor Patrick Gilmore – SGU’s Dale Volker. And, yes, he WAS sauntering although he’ll no doubt insist it was more of a sashay. Anyway, the point is Patrick has kindly agreed to come by and answer your questions out of the goodness of his heart and a desire to connect with the fans (and a general desire to avoid being probed onscreen by myopic aliens in my next script). So there you have it: our next super special guest blogger – Mr. Patrick Gilmore. Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to rake him over the coals. He dares you!
And from the mailbag:
...Eric writes: “Why is there a timer for when the Destiny jumps back into hyperspace every time it stops? I get the part where you need it for dramatic purposes, but what’s the practical reason for it?”

Answer: At present, the Destiny is operating on an automated setting so the crew has no control over when or where they stop – and, most importantly, leave. The countdown clock is the equivalent to a bus schedule. Make sure you’re aboard for departure because you may be waiting a while for your next lift.
