RDA's '95 made-for-TV movie, "Past the Bleachers," co-starring Barnard Hughes, Glynnis O'Connor, Ken Jenkins and Grayson Fricke is scheduled to air on LMN (Lifetime MOVIE Network) on Wednesday, August 20 '08 at 03:50am (please be sure to confirm the time with your local listings.)
Richard plays a man haunted by the death of his son. When he agrees to coach a youth baseball team with the help of a lonely widower, he is drawn to the team's star player, a boy who is mute, and mysterious, yet reminds him of his son. As he searches for the boy's true identity, he slowly comes out of his grief and comes to terms with his son's death.
The movie is based on the novel, Past the Bleachers, by Christopher A. Bohjalian.
