Continuum at Comic-Con

The second Stargate SG-1 movie of the year premiered at this summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, and was watched by 300 guests on a 100-foot high screen. There was loads of stuff relating to Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis and Stargate Worlds happening at the event – we bring you all the news in this issue.

FEATURES

Cast Interviews

One Jaffa. One Staff. One Eyebrow. One Teal’c. A one-to-one with Chris Judge is the pick of this issue’s exclusive interviews with the cast of Stargate SG-1. He reveals all about the role he made his own, and tells us why he just doesn’t fit in as a rebel leader. Plus, Tony Amendola, the man behind the 132-year-old Jaffa warrior, talks freedom, gravel pits, and elbowing Jack in the face; Carmen Argenziano tells us how Jacob Carter changed his life; and Michael Welch on playing the 15-year-old Jack O’Neill in Fragile Balance.

Don S. Davis 1942-2008

Don Davis, the man behind the iconic General Hammond, sadly passed away on June 30th, leaving a body of work to which few actors could lay claim. As well known for his work as Major Garland Briggs in Twin Peaks, and as Scully’s father in The X Files as for his work on Stargate SG-1, Don managed to squeeze a lifetime of roles into his 20-year acting career. In this issue, we commemorate Don’s passing with commentary from those who knew him best, and from the man himself.

Jack O'Neill's guide to space exploration
“When your back’s up against the wall and there’s no tomorrow, just take one day at a time and remember, the bigger they are…et cetera.”

This pearl of wisdom could only come from Major General Jack O’Neill – when it comes to exploring strange new worlds and seeking out new life and new civilizations, he’s something of an expert. In this issue, as a tribute to SG-1’s heroic former leader, we present our guide to space exploration – Jack O’Neill style.

ISSUE SPOTLIGHT

Stargate Worlds

The Stargate-verse comes to the smaller screen in 2009 with the launch of Stargate Worlds, a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG), which will let players travel the breadth of the Stargate universe. We bring you the full story in this issue, and speak to Dan Elggren, head of Cheyenne Mountain, the studio developing the game.
