Battlestar Galactica Is Website's Most Popular Section


New York, NY – March 4, 2009 – SCIFI.COM, the world's biggest and most trafficked genre Website, had its best February ever in all key metrics with double and triple digit increases over February 2007 and February 2008, making this period one of the most successful to date. The site also had its best month ever in engagement with over 15 minutes per visit, which beat the prior record set just last month. SCIFI.COM earned 3.7 MM uniques, 6.0 MM visits, 33.1 MM page views and 6.0 MM video streams.

Battlestar Galatica, SCI FI's hit award-winning original series, continues to make its presence felt as the most popular section of the site with 5.9 million page views and 3.8 million video streams. Ghost Hunters International also had best month since July 2008 in page views with 254,000 and brought in 394,000 video streams since August 2008.

Other highlights include:

The newly launched SCIFIWIRE.COM, the daily entertainment news site, had its best February ever, up +30% in page views and +26% in video streams vs. February 2008.

Stargate Atlantis
has its best month ever in video streams. SCI FI Rewind earned 3.8 MM streams and 426,000 unique streamers, the best month ever in both metrics.
