THE SCI FI GUYS SPECIAL 1: THE TIN MEN FEAT ALAN CUMMINGS AND NICK WILLING
DTRN (Destiny Radio Network) is proud to announce in association RHI Entertainment and The Sci Fi Channel the second of its Sci Fi Guys Special, The Tin Men!
This special is to celebrate the recent release of the hit Sci Fi Channel miniseries, Tin Man, on DVD and will feature SCI FI Guys EXCLUSIVE special guest interviews with Alan Cumming (Who plays Glitch in the miniseries) and the British director of the mini series, Nick Willing.
A tent-pole miniseries release from RHI Entertainment and SCI FI Channel, Tin Man is a modern science fiction update of L. Frank Baum's timeless The Wonderful Wizard of Oz nominated for 9 Emmy awards and recently won a creative Emmy for the make up used in the miniseries.
When a sorceress named Azkadellia scorches the once-beautiful land of Oz into a desolate wasteland the only hope lies in an "outsider" named D.G. a young Midwestern woman whose troubling dreams have summoned her to the doomed paradise. D.G. embarks on a journey to find the great mystic man to save the Oz and on her way she befriends a scarecrow named Glitch, a tin cop named Cain and gentle manimal named Raw. The DVD is now available from all good DVD/Blu-Ray retailers rrp £19.99
and £24.99 respectively.
Listeners will also have the chance to win one of six copies of the mini series (three winners on DVD, three winners on Blu-Ray) by sending in there own re-imaging of a fairytale featuring their favourite Cult TV or Sci Fi Characters to competitions [at] dtrn.co.uk. Entries will be accepted up until 5pm BST on the day of transmission. Please note that the entrant must specify which format that they wish to win or else the judges will award them with either.
The fun starts at 8pm BST on Wednesday 1st October and will also feature the usual mixture of Sci Fi Guys news, reviews and discussion.
