On his way to Istanbul, Hercule Poirot is called back to London for a case, and finds transport via the opulent Orient Express train. An ornery American businessman, Samuel Ratchett, interrupts Poirot's luxurious trip with a cryptic plea for help — he's seeking penance, but may be murdered in the meantime. When the train is sidelined by a snowdrift and Ratchett is found dead, Poirot becomes embroiled in one of the most fiendish cases of his career. The suspects are numerous and colorful — an erudite Russian princess, an English colonel, a pushy American matron and a devout Swedish missionary among others. The evidence suggests a shadowy assassin may have boarded the train during a stop in order to commit the murder, but is there an unforgivable evil even closer at hand? Based on the novel by Agatha Christie, Murder on the Orient Express features David Suchet as Hercule Poirot and an all-star supporting cast including Eileen Atkins (Cranford), Toby Jones (The Old Curiosity Shop), Barbara Hershey, Hugh Bonneville (Miss Austen Regrets), David Morrissey (Sense and Sensibility), and Stargate Universe's Brian J. Smith.

A new trailer has gone live for Splice, the new sci-fi creature feature from American-born Canadian director Vincenzo Natali (Cube), below. It gives us a much better idea of what the central creature is, and she's not exactly what you'd expect. [AND co-stars Stargate Atlantis' David Hewlett!]
The trailer also features the film's new tag line—"Science's newest miracle is a mistake"—and a June 4 release date!
Splice offers a creepy cool take on the genre and stars Adrien Brody (King Kong) and Sarah Polley (Dawn of the Dead) as two scientists who marry human and animal DNA to create a new creature, with disastrous results. Guillermo del Toro produced.

A cheesy reality television show about haunted houses is being filmed at an old plantation home. Although the producers initially deny claims from their psychic special guest Heather (Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s Charisma Carpenter) that this house is actually haunted, a series of mysterious events suggests otherwise. Missing persons, inexplicable sightings of ghosts, and the deaths of the crew not only prove that this house is haunted, but seems to be alive. When pompous show host Quentin (Corin Nemec of Stargate SG-1) arrives to the house, he is warned of the happenings and attempts to save his colleagues. Trapped inside by the house itself, the remaining producers and crew must learn of the house’s gruesome past in order to defeat the evil forces and escape the house alive.
