Christopher Heyerdahl, who portrays "Marcus" in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, has just signed on for the Official Twilight Convention tour, and his first stop on the tour was in Miami, Florida.

Hero Hayden Panettiere Coming To Australia

Hayden Panettiere, the cheerleading star of Heroes, (as well as spokesperson for Save the Whales) will finally make it to Australia to appear at the Supanova Pop Culture Expo in Melbourne (March 28-29) and Brisbane (April 4-5), after postponing her appearances in Sydney and Perth last year due to the then possibility of a Screen Actors’ Guild strike.

... In addition to Panettiere, local actor and musician, Bonnie Piesse, who starred in the iconic role of the young ‘Aunt Beru’ in ‘Star Wars Episode II & III, ‘Attack of the Clones’ and ‘Revenge of the Sith’, will also be attending the expos.

Robert Pattinson: All Vamped Up

When he beat off famous names to take the part of vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen in the screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer’s award-winning novel, Twilight, relative unknown and Brit Robert Pattinson had no idea what to expect. Over a year later, the 22-year-old has won a place on bedroom walls of teenage girls across the world, and become a mover and shaker in Hollywood, and all without wearing a pair of fangs. How did that happen? David Grove caught up with him to find out more ...

... Are you looking forward to doing a sequel?

Yes, we all are. When I first got this part, I hadn’t read the book, and then I read the first book, and then the other books and it amazed me how this world that Stephenie created just kept expanding and expanding. The possibilities are limitless and I love the second book.

When I signed on to the film the Twilight phenomenon wasn’t as big as it is now, so this has caught all of us by surprise. The whole thing is twice as crazy as it was when we started work on the film. I’d like to do more films until we get to that Midnight Sun story because that’s all about my character and I’m really interested to find out more about Edward.

Ashley Greene initially had plans for becoming a model. But, after being told that she was not tall enough to walk the runways, the 5'5" Florida native decided to take a commercial class, and quickly fell in love with acting. After a move to Los Angeles, she began working in film and television and, when Twilight was brought to her attention by her manager, the 21-year-old knew that she had to play Alice Cullen.

Greene recently took time out from her hectic schedule to talk to MediaBlvd Magazine about the highly anticipated film adaption of the hugely successful Young Adult vampire novel by literary icon Stephenie Meyer, hitting theaters on November 21st.


A brief excerpt:

MediaBlvd> Was it always Alice that you had auditioned for?

Ashley> I went in for Bella, originally. I went in for her two times and met with Catherine Hardwicke, but I wasn’t right for that. And then, they brought me back in for Alice. I was super-excited. I had read all three books by then because I liked the series so much. And then, I didn’t really hear anything. It went really well, and then I went home for Christmas, thinking I hadn’t gotten the part. I was upset about it. I cried about it. It was just one of those parts where I was like, “This is my part!” I wanted it, even from when the first time I went in. And then, I ended up getting a call and they were like, “Hey, by the way, you got the part!” I was super-excited. I called my mom and dad, and they cried. They were so excited. It was cute. It was one of those monumental things in your life. There are some parts where you’re just like, “This is my part, and nobody can do a better job,” and that was this. One of the greatest things I had on my side was that I fit the character description, minus the height. That worked in my favor. I hadn’t really done a lot of big stuff before, and that was part of the hesitation in them hiring me, but it worked out. I worked really hard. Everybody really stepped their game up.

Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson breathe life into Stephenie Meyer's best-selling vampire romance Twilight

Twilight is nearly upon us.

After all the buzz, following months of hype, the big-screen adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel Twilight will finally arrive in theaters on Nov. 21. The film sets the stage for a potentially long-running and lucrative film franchise, not to mention a cottage industry of clothes and posters and all the requisite tie-in products.

But that's getting a little too far ahead. First, audiences must bite into Twilight, in which the human teen Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) falls for Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a century-old vampire who stopped aging at 17 and whose clan drinks the blood of animals rather than humans. Their romance must withstand all sorts of challenges, as Edward must resist the temptation to turn Bella into a vamp and contends with the threat of other vampires who wish him dead and make no apologies for feasting on human blood.

Stewart is a fast-rising star whose credits include Catch That Kid, Zathura, The Messengers and Into the Wild, while Pattinson is a British actor best known for playing the doomed Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. During separate telephone conversations with SCI FI Weekly, Stewart and Pattinson talked about Twilight, their respective familiarity (or lack thereof) with the material and the pros and cons of Twilight exploding into a phenomenon.

A brief excerpt:

Kristen Stewart, did you know about the Meyer books before the film came about?

Stewart: I didn't. I'd been working. I didn't go to high school. I did home school for high school, and I stick to the Classic Literature section in Borders and I don't really venture from there. So I don't know what sort of rock I was living under, but, no, I hadn't heard of them.

... Robert Pattinson, you'd not read the books prior to becoming involved with Twilight, and you had no way of knowing that even as you shot the film it was emerging as a phenomenon. How strange has it been to be in the eye of the storm?

Pattinson: It gets stranger and stranger every day, at the moment. I was literally completely and utterly ignorant until the last day of shooting of what it really was. Even the budget didn't reflect that kind of phenomenon that it is now. It wasn't that kind of $200 million budget movie. It was a relatively low-budget thing. So I literally had no idea it would get this kind of attention.
