Mackenzie's Momma writes: "Why do the Milky Way planets get designated with "P" and Pegasus Galaxy planets get designated with "M" designations?"

Answer: It's a simple way of differentiating between planet's in either galaxy, P for Pegasus and M for Milky Way. No. Wait.

JoanielovesChachi writes: "Will Mitch Pilleggi be in Season 5?"

Answer: Yep. Watch for Mitch in the season premiere and mid-season two-parter.

Luis811 writes: "When the main actors are reading their lines while filming the extras you see in the background are also engaged in conversation are they actually reading lines from script or are they just mumbling."

Answer: Their lines are scripted. What they're muttering is anyone's guess. I suspect they're usually discussing that week's episode of Lost.

Sanctuary Leaps From Net To Network

Written by Diane Kristine

Published June 15, 2008

Sanctuary won't be the first series to make the leap from web to television, but executive producer and director Martin Wood hopes it's learned enough from its broadband run to make the most of its cable run.

"When you're that far in front of the wave, you're sitting on the foaming edge of it. Everybody looks at you and says 'ok, how are you doing this?' And you have to turn to them and say 'not very well, but we have an idea,'" he laughed in a recent interview at the Banff World Television Festival.

Airing in early October on the Sci Fi channel in the United States, The Movie Network/Movie Central in Canada, and ITV in the UK, Sanctuary is a 13-episode, half-hour drama from the creative minds behind the Stargate series, including writer Damian Kindler, lead actor Amanda Tapping, and Wood himself.

A Conversation With Paul McGillion

By Joseph Dilworth Jr. ⋅

June 15, 2008 ⋅

He has appeared as Carson Beckett in the first three season of “Stargate Atlantis”, before his character was killed off. He appeared as an actor and a female Scottish detective in the very funny film A Dog’s Breakfast. He has guest-starred on such high profiles TV series as “The X-Files”, “Smallville” and “The Commish”. He has appeared in several films and will have a role in J. J. Abrams version of Star Trek. And, due to an outpouring of fan support, he returns this year as Carson Beckett in several episodes of “Stargate Atlantis”. On top of that he’s a very friendly and kind person. I am speaking of Paul McGillion. This past week he agreed to speak with us via phone from the set of “Atlantis”. As you can imagine, shooting a television show is pretty hectic, so it took a couple of days before he had some time and he got called back to the set in the middle of the conversation. We are very grateful that he choose to use some of his free time to talk to us. This conversation began, like many others, with the answering of a phone call.

A brief excerpt:

PCZ: So, you’re back on the set of “Stargate Atlantis” this week…

PM: Yes.

Photo courtesy of Joseph Mallozzi's Blog

PCZ: …can you talk about the episode you’re filming?

PM: The episode I’m filming right now is called “Outsiders” and it’s my third episode this season of the five that I’m doing, or the minimum of five. It’s an episode written by Alan McCullough. We have Will Waring directing. It’s a lot of Wraiths and a lot of conflict. David Hewlett and I have a ton of stuff, there’s a lot of Beckett and McKay stuff in it. We’re doing a scene right now that’s hopefully pretty funny. The whole crew is laughing at our scene in a Wraith Dart so it’s really funny. We’re having some really good laughs doing it. It’s been great. David and I are pretty much throughout the episode and we have a lot of stuff together. So it’s a big Beckett and McKay episode.

Katee Sackhoff on the Battlestar Finale: "I Want Closure"

by Anna Dimond

Imagine your entire world has been destroyed, and you along with less than 40,000 survivors have to fight for your lives against human-hating Cylon robots, all in an attempt to reach a planet that may or may not exist. You’ve been told you have a destiny to lead your people to the only livable planet, but that you’re also a “harbinger of death.” How the heck do you take on those burdens without being a little whacked out?

Clearly, Battlestar heroine Kara “Starbuck” Thrace is able to handle this kind of pressure because she is crazy... in a good way. Scene-stealer Katee Sackhoff has spent four seasons playing the spirited, brilliant, tom-boy fighter pilot who may be the key to finding “Earth” and saving the last remaining humans. We spoke with the actress about how Galactica has changed her, her hopes for Starbuck at the end of the series' run, and her upcoming stint on Nip/Tuck.

A brief excerpt:

TVGuide.com: You also have a guest part on Nip/Tuck coming up. What will that be like?

Sackhoff: It's exciting. I wanted to do something that would break me out of the Starbuck stereotype. I wanted to do something that completely abandoned her, so much so that people almost in a sense forgot that I played her for a while. [On Nip/Tuck] I'm the new anesthesiologist. I'm a little devil. I give it to Sean, and I make him break out of his shell. And I may get him in a little bit of trouble along the way, but it's a fun role for me. I'm tattooed, I get to ride Harleys.... It was a nice transition, a nice four episodes. And then I have a movie that we're hopefully going to start in November.

TVGuide.com: What kind role is that for you?

Sackhoff: The movie is called The Victim, and I'm very excited about it. I'm excited to actually not beat someone up for a change!
