Battlestar Galactica - Jonja: Katee Sackhoff Video Interview

At Jonja.net:

Interview with Katee Sackhoff

Katee Sackhoff almost didn't make it to Starfest this year. After having been bumped from her flight Friday night from sunny Los Angeles, she arrived in Denver to a winter wonderland with more than a foot of snow on the ground. But the Oregon native took it all in stride.

Katee, until recently, portrayed the character of Kara Thrace, the re-imagined Starbuck, in Ron Moore's update of the TV series Battlestar Galactica. The re-envisioning of the character generated quite a bit of controversy both in the media and amongst the fans -- something Ms. Sackhoff didn't shy from.

In our video interview, we talk with her about how it was natural for her to meet the controversy head on and the challenges of playing Kara Thrace. She also talks about how Michael Trucco's real life injury in a serious car accident changed the way she thought about her character and may have altered the ultimate fate of Starbuck.

Watch the interview and then join us in the forums and let us know what you think.

Stargate SG1/Farscape's Ben Browder - Interview on 'Freeze Frame'

At the Ben Browder Portal:

(Please follow the link for the complete interview.)

Ben talks about Freeze Frame and Other Stuff

LAScaper interviewed Ben about his new role in the upcoming movie Freeze Frame. But talking to Ben rarely results in a straight question and answer session. The topics of conversation included the nature of veterans health issues highlighted in Freeze Frame, the movie’s promotional website, Freeze Frame’s award winning writer and producer Jonas McCord, when is a blog not a blog, the idea that artistic expression may affect social change, how tuned in fans are to his projects, coaching high school pole vaulting, fear of the dentist leads to sanity in stunt work, the joys of rhyming poetry, family pets, and then back to the subject at hand.

Freeze Frame is intended to add to the centuries old conversation about taking care of the men and women that fight to protect our freedoms. “What you’re really talking about is the state of individuals who return from war. And how they cope. In my estimation it’s a human story.” One thing’s for sure when you’re talking to Ben Browder - it’s always interesting!
