Stargate SG1 - Richard Dean Anderson - Charity Auction - Quench the Fire - T-Shirt

At EBAY:

Richard Dean Anderson signed T-shirt

This is a XL size T-shirt from the “Quench the Fire” event on Dec 2nd 2007, that was raising money for The Pain Center, a medical facility that deals with research, treatment and management of RSD (chronic pain).

Richard Dean Anderson was a guest at the event and spent time helping raise awareness for the cause, posed for photos and signed items, among which, this event T-shirt.

This is a rare item, from the First Annual Quench the Fire event (and therefore no longer in production), that was available ONLY to attendees.

This item is offered for auction by Lilly Saenz from California, with ALL proceedings going to the “Purple Heart” fundraiser for the second annual Quench The Fire event. (please see more information at: http://www.helpforpain.com/ )

The Purple Heart Fundraiser was opened in support of Quench the Fire, with all donations going directly to the Pain Center, for RDA fans to show support of Mr. Anderson’s efforts in raising awareness for one of his chosen charities. (please see more at: http://www.active.com/donate/quenchthefire/purpleheart )

The winning bidder will be contacted for payment details as well as shipping, but basically will have a choice of paying online DIRECTLY through the fundraiser page at the following address:

http://www.active.com/donate/quenchthefire/purpleheart

Or by money order to Lilly Saenz, who will then make the donation to the fundraiser.

We ask the winning bidder to please DO NOT make the payment before contacting us at purpleheartproj@gmail.com to discuss the available options and shipping information.

We wish everyone good luck in their bidding. However if the underbidders still want to be a part of the “Purple Heart” for Mr. Anderson, they can do so through the fundraiser page. Thank you.

Stargate: Continuum - Cinema Blend: Aircraft Carrier Premiere

Comic Con: Aircraft Carrier Premiere Of Stargate Continuum

By Josh Tyler: 2008-07-31 01:13:05

This was Cinema Blend’s first year at the San Diego Comic Con, and we figured as long as we were there, we might as well do it up in style...We stood at the base of the USS Midway, a decommissioned aircraft carrier now permanently docked and floating in the San Diego Bay.

We were there for the world premiere of Stargate Continuum, a direct to DVD movie spun-off from the ever popular, yet still inexplicably cancelled television series Stargate SG-1...

To our right was a gigantic movie screen, set up on the landing strip, up against the conning tower, with a grand stand in front of it. To our left, a red carpet wedged between two fighter planes, where Richard Dean Anderson, Ben Browder, and the rest of the cast (minus the absent Claudia Black) lined up to endure our questions. Endure them they did (cheerfully even), and we grilled them on the MacGyver movie. All of them. Even though none of them save one have ever had anything to do with MacGyver. Blame Richard Dean Anderson, who suggested we keep asking the question to everyone who came behind him, until we got a scoopy answer. Oddly enough, most of the cast simply looked confused, except for Browder, who cheerfully latched onto the idea of replacing Richard Dean Anderson in yet another role.

Possible Feature MacGyver Film?

Info comes from a blog, no news article yet...

From There Be Nonsense Here blog:

http://www.thenonsense.com/2008/05/mcgyver-movie-big-budget/

MacGyver_movie

Today at Maker Faire 2008, MacGyver creator (and real life inspiration) Lee David Zlotoff announced he has a big budget MacGyver movie in the planning stages.

Zlotoff mentioned he somehow ended up with the movie rights years ago (extremely uncommon), giving him full control over the film. While few specifics were mentioned, and no formal announcement has been made, its extremely promising that the man with the power to make the film is getting the ball rolling. The question is…do you bring back Richard Dean Anderson as old MacGyver, or bring in a younger, Christian Bale-type to reprise the role of makeshift gadget god?

KAYLEE FRYE (Jewel Staite)

I've always liked tomboys. She knows how to fix mechanical things, always a plus (and I'm just not in the mood to start learning now). And they kept making her the ''ugly'' girl or whatnot, where no guy seems to want her, always checking out the companion or first mate. So if all the other guys in the universe are going to be idiots, I'll be all that much more special to her. — Green Gummi Bear
