Upon landing on P3X 989, a mysterious alien named Harlan renders the SG-1 team unconscious. After waking and returning to Earth, they find that their minds have been downloaded into androids. Can the team return before they run out of power and die?

From the Richard Dean Anderson website's Stargate SG-1 Season One Mission Database:

MEMORABLE REMARKS:

* Ladies and gentlemen, this is your colonel speaking. Welcome to P3X-niner-eight-niner where it's a balmy... room temperature. [O'Neill]

* Well, the lights are on, but there's noooobody home. [O'Neill]

* It feels "older" somehow. [Jackson]
I know how it feels. [O'Neill]

* Colonel Jack O'Neill, Kumbaya. [O'Neill]
Com-traya. [Harlan]
Whatever. [O'Neill]

Stargate Atlantis / SG-1 - Fannish Inquisition: Vancouver Con Report & F302 Contest

At Fannish Inquisition:

Official Stargate Vancouver Convention Report & F-302 Giveaway!

The official Stargate convention was held by Creation Entertainment in Vancouver from the 2nd to the 5th of April The guest list this year included Amanda Tapping, Michael Shanks, Paul McGillion, Joe Flanigan, Teryl Rothery, Andee Frizzell, Connor Trinneer, Robert Picardo, Dan Shea, Gary Jones, David Nykl and producers Mr N John Smith, Brad Wright and Robert Cooper. There were also other guests panelists and lots of opportunities for fans to get autographs and professional photos with the guests.

With this event report podcast, we’re giving away a limited-edition F-302 screen-accurate replica created directly from the Stargate SG-1 CGI files and produced by Quantum Mechanix.

The highly-detailed, hand-painted ship model has a wingspan of 8 inches and measures 4.5 inches from nose to engine exhaust (roughly 1/129th scale). The F-302 comes with a 9″x6″ diorama modeled after the flight deck on Earth’s first deep-space battleship, the Prometheus. When mounted on it’s stand (the fighter can be removed), the F-302 is displayed on the verge of take off with gears down (but just starting to retract) and hovering over the flight deck. Complete with standard armaments, the F-302 comes with four wing-mounted missiles and two nose-mounted rail guns. The two-man cockpit is visible through the clear canopy and all regulation markings are in place, including warning placards measuring as little as 2/16 of an inch.

Stargate SG-1 - GateWorld: Dan Shea Video Interview

At GateWorld:

STUNTS AND WRENCHES

GateWorld talks with Dan Shea

Saving the galaxy on a weekly basis can be dangerous work. Sometimes you can't make it through an hour without getting a little roughed up. And for many years, one man has been either getting roughed up or been the one in charge of making sure others do it safely -- Dan Shea.

As both Richard Dean Anderson's stunt double and Sergeant "Sly" Siler on-screen, or as SG-1' stunt coordinator off-screen, Shea has been instrumental in making all the fights, explosions and other stunts both fun to watch and harmless to those performing them.

GateWorld sat down with Dan earlier this year at the Creation Entertainment Stargate convention in Vancouver -- and it's the first time we've gotten the chance to talk with him. Due to time constraints, the interview is extremely short. However, in that brief time, Dan opens up about how he got into the stunt business, what brought him into the Stargate franchise, how he wound up in front of the camera as "Siler," and more!

GateWorld's video interview with Dan runs approximately six minutes, and requires QuickTime 7.0 or higher. An interview transcription is available at the link above. The interview is also available at GateWorld Play! (Please follow the link to view the video in its original format.)

A brief excerpt:

GW: How did you end up in front of the screen as Siler?
DS: There was just an audition and I remember, I went upstairs, and I started joking around. Brad [Wright] was in there, and Martin Wood, and I thought, "If you're trying to be funny, they'll like you and give you the part." The problem was, the guy was a computer geek, not funny. And so Greenberg gave me hell. Michael Greenberg. He said, "You fool, you have a chance to get this part. What are you doing, you blew it." And I thought I did good because they were laughing. Well, it was a serious role, so he made me go back and do it again, and spew out the techno-jargon, and I got it.
