I have to say that I enjoyed the first epi of the new season of Sanctuary but, as a Brit, an Essex gal too, I have to point out that nowhere are there verdant, lush valleys. Nor was there a single sighting of a white stiletto shoe, and I have to report the only possible valley they could refer to is Billericay, and that's more of a black hole. :P
